Mindfulness is a specific systematic training that has proven benefits in stress, physical/emotional health, aptitude, memory, kindness and much more.  This 6 week core skills course goes beyond basic stress reduction and offers a depth understanding of contemporary mindfulness in our lives. Each class explains and practises a core mindfulness skill & includes practice “homework”.  Includes booklet & audio guides.

Elizabeth Fryer, MA, LMFT is a nationally certified mindfulness teacher with over 40 years of mindfulness training and 20 years of teaching it. She studied traditional mindfulness in Asia for 10 years and completed a 2.5 yr advanced training/teacher certification at SRMC in northern CA. She is a psychotherapist specializing in mindfulness based counseling and mindfulness training including the nationally recognized mindfulness program at Monsanto Co.  She has a private practice in St Louis, MO.  elizabethfryer.org

SLM Classes: We recommended that new participants take one of our mindfulness classes for a more thorough understanding of the context and application of mindfulness since the Sunday group is a guided silent group meditation period.

This small group meets monthly after the larger SLM 2nd Sunday group and delves more deeply into a personal understanding & application of the traditional wisdom teachings by building on consecutive participation, group discussion, reading, sangha support and leadership roles. Prerequisite: Commitment, Intro or Level 1 (or equivalent) class and a regular meditation practice. Offered by donation. Please speak with Elizabeth before or after ongoing Sunday group if you are interested in joining.
