Mindfulness is a specific systematic training that has become increasingly popular due to vast amounts of research verifying it’s benefits in stress reduction, physical & mental health, attention/ aptitude, general wellbeing and more. This 6 weeks core skills course offers an in depth understanding of contemporary mindfulness and it’s practical application in our lives.

Teacher:
Elizabeth Fryer, MA, LMFT, is a nationally certified mindfulness teacher with over 40 years of mindfulness training and 20 years of teaching it. She studied traditional mindfulness in Asia for 10 years and completed advanced training and teacher certification at SRMC in northern CA. She is a psychotherapist specializing in mindfulness based counseling and develops professional mindfulness programs including the nationally recognized mindfulness program at Monsanto Co. Introduction To Mindfulness

This introductory overview of mindfulness includes meditation technique and the context of contemporary and traditional mindfulness practice.  This specific form of meditation; vipassana, is the basis of mindfulness meditation.  Includes both sitting and walking meditation instruction.  Non religious.
