We operate entirely by donation. Please support our ability to offer this group and other events to the community without charge by offering a nominal donation.
If you’re new, no need to contact us, just arrive a few minutes early to get oriented. Please bring a meditation pillow if you have one, a few pillows and chairs are available on a limited basis. Guided meditation instructions will be given. It is recommended that new participants take one of our introductory mindfulness classes for more information on the context of this practice since the Sunday group is primarily guided silent practice.
2nd Sunday Schedule
6:00 PM – sitting (vipassana) meditation
6:40 PM – walking meditation
7:00 PM – guided kindness (metta) meditation
7:15 PM – talk or questions
7:30 PM – finish
(Transition to CPG)
7:30 PM – Committed Practice Group discussion (see below)
Committed Practice Group
This small group meets monthly after the larger SLM group and delves more deeply into a personal understanding & application of the traditional wisdom teachings by building on consecutive participation, group discussion, reading, sangha support and leadership roles.
Prerequisite: Intro or Level 1 (or equivalent) class, commitment and a regular meditation practice. Offered by donation. Please speak with Elizabeth before or after ongoing Sunday group if you are interested in joining.
