Ancient Secret To Happiness

The Bhutanese, considered the  ‘happiest people on earth’ have a secret to this happiness: reflect on death everyday.  And, when especially anxious or unhappy; multiple times a day!  This counterintuitive strategy is in alignment with the ancient Buddhist teachings.  When we try to ignore or deny reality that is uncomfortable and aversive, we suffer.  Mindfulness practice invites aversion into awareness in order to make peace with reality through wisdom & compassion.
